Why does God require tithes and offerings?

Malachi 3:10 (KJV) - ¹⁰Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Tithes and offerings is the evidence of our faith in God. Those who do not apply this principle HAVE NO REAL UNDERSTANDING that God is “attempting” to get something to us and through us by His Divine Plan. Cheerful giving and faithful tithing is the right combination to RECEIVE Heaven’s Blessings over your life! Why does money always seem to be an issue? Because God sometimes uses our money to measure our faith in Him. Sometimes the ONLY transportation from a place of brokenness to breakthrough is a leap of faith. In Hebrews, it tells us that “without faith, it is impossible to please Him.” So, that settles it.

God doesn’t need your money.

The main reason God wants us to pay tithes and an offering is because He is trying to prove Himself in our money. Stop looking at where you are as your DESTINATION. Being aware of His blessings will give you LUBRICATION to reach the DESTINY that God has for you.

Also, stop looking at what the preacher is getting. You cannot afford to pay a preacher what he/she is REALLY worth in the Kingdom of Heaven . 1 Timothy 5:17 declares, “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.”

When we don’t do right by God with the 10%, we work multiple jobs and never seem to have enough money as long as we live. The cycle of blessing is wrapped up in our ability to be obedient to God’s word. Malachi 3:10 speaks of a window that God wants to use to pour out His blessings over each and every one of us. When we are faithful, God opens doors for us. Yet, when we are obedient, God pours out from the window of His blessings. AS IT RELATES TO BLESSINGS, THERE IS ALWAYS A MEDIUM OF EXCHANGE. When someone says I love you, you say I love you back to them……medium of exchange! When a man calls an escort service, she shows up, and he has to pay her 1^st……medium of exchange! When you go to Wal-Mart and grab an item, you have to pay for it……me
